The Mountain Falls Golf Shop will be starting our annual Labor Day golf shop sale starting Thursday September 3rd. The golf shop will have a variety of soft goods at up to 50% OFF, Callaway Golf Shoes at 30% OFF and all golf clubs at only 10% above cost. The Southern Nevada Senior Golf Association will be playing Mountain Falls Golf Club on the weekend of September 12th and 13th. This will be the eighth year we have hosted their event and all of the participants look forward to the short drive to play the course.
We just completed the annual fall greens aerification this past Tuesday. Everything went very well and the greens should be healed and back up to normal speeds by Labor Day weekend. The fall aerification is an essential part of keeping the greens at Mountain Falls Golf Club healthy now and in the future. The maintenance staff does an excellant job of top dressing the greens little by little, days after aerification, to get them back in shape as quickly as possible!
The action in the FedExCup was really heated this past weekend. We were one putt away from having what may have been the greatest playoff in history! It is great to see Ernie Els have such a nice finish along with Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington, Steve Stricker and Paul Goydos. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will be as entertaining!
